Introducing breastfeeding to parents. It includes a comprehensive health history review, breast assessment, guidance and creation of a care plan to get your lactation journey off to a good start!
Typical visit duration: 45 minutes-1 hour

This consultation will include discussing health history/delivery info, feeding goals, and addressing any issues/concerns that you may have. I will do a weight check with possible pre and post feeding weights, perform an oral exam, observation and assessment of a nursing, pumping and/or bottle feeding session based on your needs. Together we will create a plan.
*The initial visit includes a customized care plan, a faxed report to your provider and access to me via phone or email for follow up questions for 2 weeks after the consultation.

This consultation includes a reassessment of feeding and oral function, a weight check and any necessary adjustments to your care plan.

This consultation is a great way to prepare for returning to work, pumping and introducing your baby to bottle feeding. During this visit, I will assess the fit of your pump flanges, ensure that the pump is working properly, and give you tips to help you make pumping more comfortable and effective.
*This consultation does not include a breastfeeding assessment or milk supply assessment.
